Job summary

Faherty Brand is seeking a Temp Production Assistant in New York to manage daily production tracking, WIP updates, and AirTable maintenance. You will coordinate fit sessions and partner with the Production Director to review test and inspection reports, communicating decisions to overseas partners.

The role begins October 2026 for 3–5 months and requires 5+ years in apparel production. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and adaptable, with strong Excel skills and the ability to chase

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years production experience in Apparel preferred with US buying office or large trading business.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to organize data and communicate findings with various audiences.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skill, ability to conduct data analysis and extract critical points for team review.
  • Flexible and Adaptable - priorities change frequently based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is critical.
  • High level of skill with Microsoft Excel, business, and system maintenance, generate analysis and report from systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute a weekly delay report, tracking at-risk POs and flagging timeline issues to the production team.
  • Compile a weekly fit approval and delivery status report to keep stakeholders aligned on garment approvals and shipment timing.
  • Chase outstanding PO issuance with factories and internal teams to prevent production delays.
  • Update and approve daily delivery status in WIP, ensuring shipment timelines are accurately reflected.
  • Update and approve daily shortage/overage entries in WIP, coordinating with factories to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain AirTable daily, ensuring production data stays accurate and current across all active styles.
  • Build and maintain a priority list for fit sessions, coordinating scheduling based on calendar deadlines and sample readiness.
  • Review failed garment test and final inspection reports with the Production Director, and communicate decisions and comments to overseas partners via email.

What you’ll do:

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The hourly rate salary range for this position is $50.00 - 60.00 / hour USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
