Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED certification required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to understand basic math concepts including measurement, volume, and distance.
• Must have ability to operate manufacturing equipment as required.
• Reliable and available for occasional flexible work hours or overtime when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and pass them to others.
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting all machine operators on the job assigned.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are present and serviceable.
• Assist in the set-up of the next job, cleaning production equipment and/or packaging line after completing current product.
• Maintain communications with management and fellow employees regarding status of work and safety.
• Report items requiring repair or adjustment and relay information to the operator in charge.
• Relieve operators for breaks and lunch periods and manage supplies as needed.
• Draw samples of finished products and perform weigh-ups of raw materials.
• Maintain an accurate record of packaged finished products and deliver it to the shift supervisor.
• Assist clean-up and return unused raw materials to proper storage.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
