Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Fort Wayne is seeking a Production Assistant to support the production floor, assist with setup, inventory, and basic quality control. Qualifications

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must be able to perform inventory counting and recording.
• Familiar with basic hand tools or willing to learn.
• General understanding of basic housekeeping and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production flow in the workshop to meet customer requirements.
• Perform material handling: wrapping pallets, packaging, labeling, inventory control.
• Conduct inspection duties using go/no-go gauges and weight counting.
• Assist with job set-ups and client training as needed.
• Develop fixtures for production floor use with Team Leads.
• Maintain housekeeping program for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Observe safety and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Assist with client service needs as requested.
• Report suspected abuse or crime per policy.
