Job summary

ESPN NEXT, ESPN's entry point for aspiring storytellers, offers a full-time Production Assistant role designed to launch a career in sports media. You'll work behind the scenes across studio, live events, digital, social, and emerging platforms with a mentor to help you acclimate and a path toward promotion.

Produce content for ESPN's live events and shows, edit video and audio, and contribute ideas for multi-platform storytelling while developing through structured training and development

Qualifications

• Will work nights, mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Conversational knowledge of multiple sports, especially ESPN-covered sports (NBA/WNBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, College Football/Basketball).

Responsibilities

• Support production and content creation for domestic and global properties for all sports.
• Consistently share creative and innovative ideas to contribute to ESPN's multi-platform storytelling.
• Edit video and audio elements and research content for a variety of shows/networks.
• Run audio board loading playlists, log commercials, sales and promos for multi-platform broadcasts.
• Coordinate graphics for assigned studio telecasts and/or remote live events.
• Produce variety of elements: highlights, teases, opens, and montages for shows, live events and digital platforms.
• Assist with live events by gathering video and sponsorship elements for broadcasts.

Salary and Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Charlotte, NC, is $42,500 to $56,900 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
