Job summary

Prime Metal Buildings & Components is seeking a Production Assistant to support day-to-day operations in our manufacturing shop and steel yard. You will assist with loading and unloading, transporting materials, and using power tools as needed. A strong team player with a safety focus is essential.

The position offers full-time hours with a benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with matching, and life/dental/vision coverage. PTO after 6 months and 8 paid holidays are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Ability for cross training in other areas of the shop.
• Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in loading and unloading material from machines.
• Assist welders, operators and drivers in the manufacturing shop and yard.

• Set out or put away tools when needed.
