Job summary

Gibraltar is seeking a Production Assistant to support manufacturing operations by aiding machine operators in production, packaging, labeling and inspection of finished goods. The role helps meet production schedules while upholding quality, safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

On-site position in Myrtle Beach, SC with a Monday–Friday schedule, typical 7:30 AM–4:30 PM hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction and simple measurements.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Follow safety rules, operating instructions, and standard work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators by catching and organizing products as they are produced.
• Assemble boxes and packaging materials to support production.
• Package finished products with proper taping, gluing, banding, and labeling.
• Verify quantities and labels before shipment.
• Stack and organize finished goods onto pallets.
• Monitor for defects and escalate quality concerns.
• Support 5S and housekeeping for a clean, safe workplace.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Attend to overtime needs as required.

What You'll Do

• Assist machine operators by catching and organizing products as they are produced.
• Assemble cardboard boxes and packaging materials to support production requirements.
• Package finished products using appropriate taping, gluing, banding, and labeling methods.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and packaging specifications before shipment.
• Stack and organize finished goods onto pallets according to established standards.
• Monitor products for defects and elevate quality concerns as needed.
• Support 5S and housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Promote a strong safety culture by following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Maintain reliable attendance and support overtime requirements when necessary.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves

• Less than a high school education, high school diploma/GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate basic English.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, count, and work with simple measurements.
• Ability to follow safety rules, operating instructions, and standard work procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial manufacturing environments.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working with packaging, labeling, palletizing, or shipping processes.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles.
• Forklift or material handling experience.

Location, Travel and Compensation

• On-site role located in Myrtle Beach, SC.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Overtime may be required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• The estimated salary range for this role is $16-20/hr.
