Production Support
- Assist with daily production scheduling and prioritization.
- Prepare and distribute daily production commitments.
- Update Kanban boards and production status throughout the shift.
- Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes.
- Assist supervisors in tracking daily output and productivity.
Production Planning
- Coordinate work orders and production paperwork.
- Verify production priorities with supervisors.
- Prepare production reports and schedules.
- Track completion of production orders.
- Monitor overdue and carryover jobs.
Material Coordination
- Verify material availability for scheduled jobs.
- Coordinate with Materials and Purchasing regarding shortages.
- Stage production paperwork for upcoming jobs.
- Report material shortages affecting production schedules.
Data Entry & Reporting
- Maintain production logs and spreadsheets.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Maintain accurate production records.
Communication
- Communicate production priorities to operators.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Shipping.
- Report production delays and equipment issues.
- Participate in daily production meetings.
Lean Manufacturing
- Maintain Kanban boards.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects.
- Participate in production audits.
Requirements
Education Requirements and Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Experience in a production planning or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
