Job Summary
The Production Assistant supports company operations by performing various production activities. The role involves mechanical operation of shop equipment and tools for prototype or low-volume CNC parts, including 3D printing, casting, and finishing. The position works closely with supervisors and leads to develop skills in the prototyping industry.

Essential Functions

1. Read and interpret prints, specifications, and 3D files.
2. Operate manual or powered machinery for CNC production.
3. Assist with basic 3D printing operations.
4. Assist with casting activities.
5. Perform post-processing and finishing of parts.
6. Conduct visual inspections per specifications.
7. Track production using ERP systems.
8. Maintain raw material inventory.
9. Assist with cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and workstations.
10. Participate in routine shop cleaning tasks.
11. Maintain a safe, clean, organized environment.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies

• Basic knowledge of 3D printing and casting processes.
• Understanding of material properties.
• Familiarity with machine interfaces.
• Ability to read print and specifications.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements & Professional Experience

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, team lift for heavier loads.
• Good vision, noise protection, PPE for fumes and moving parts.

Work Hours/Travel

• Monday-Friday, first shift, overtime as needed.
• Part-time considered; no travel or remote work.
