Job summary

KTLA is seeking a Production Assistant to support Emmy-winning Rose Parade coverage. This part-time seasonal role will handle script books, camera cards, research and clerical tasks under the supervision of the Production Coordinator and APOC, on-site in Pasadena.

The ideal candidate has live TV experience, strong PC skills (Excel/Outlook/Word/OneDrive), and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in live television or scripted/related field.
• Extremely proficient in administrative tasks on a PC, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and OneDrive.

• Assemble float tour books, script books and camera cards.
• Work on files in OneDrive, including rundown, production schedules, scripts, camera cards, etc.
• Perform clerical duties to support the show.
• Provide telephone coverage.
• Work on the live event on location in Pasadena.
• Position is temporary December to January.

Production Assistant - Seasonal PT

PA with a can-do attitude will work directly with Production Coordinator and APOC for all their needs, including script book assembly, camera cards, research and clerical, and any other related tasks.

• Will assemble float tour books, script books and camera cards.
• Will work on files in OneDrive, including rundown, production schedules, scripts, camera cards, etc.
• Perform clerical duties to support the show.
• Provide telephone coverage.
• Will work on the live event on location in Pasadena.
• Position is temporary December to January.

Requirements

• Must have experience in live television, scripted or related field
• Must be extremely proficient in administrative tasks and on a PC - Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and OneDrive are a must.
• Knowledge of live show rundowns and scripts a plus.
• Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail and handle a lot on their plate all at once
• Superb organizational and time management skills
• Capable of meeting deadlines and working with daily time constraints
• Talent for anticipating needs
• Excellent written and verbal communications; professional telephone etiquette AVAILABLE: Immediately

Compensation $20/hr.+ - commensurate with experience and skill level
