Job summary

Hearst Television in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Broadcast Production Assistant to join the production crew. The role involves operating cameras, teleprompter, audio-board, graphics and related equipment for live broadcasts and post-production.

You will report to the News Production Manager and collaborate with the production team to ensure a successful broadcast. A flexible schedule is required in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Editing experience is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software.
  • Videography experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cameras and studio floor directing.
  • Move and handle props and sets during productions.
  • Construct, maintain, install and operate props, cameras, prompters, sets and other production equipment.
  • Lighting and script preparation for newscasts.
  • Maintain the appearance of studios, including cleaning of set and floors.
  • Understand and maintain the lighting grid and control board.
  • Climb ladders to change light bulbs and adjust fixtures on the grid.
  • Edit syndicated promos for air and web content using Adobe Premiere.
  • Assist the directors.

Broadcast Production Assistant

KOAT, the ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has an opening for a Broadcast Production Assistant. We are looking for a team player who understands the flexible schedule that the broadcast industry requires to join our production crew. You will be responsible for operating cameras, teleprompter, audio-board, graphics and video equipment related to live broadcasts and post-production. You will work with our production team to guarantee a successful broadcast is produced. You will report to the News Production Manager.

Responsibilities
