Job summary

Peninsula Plastics is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 2nd shift in Auburn Hills, MI. The role oversees a small team of machine operators, assists with setup and troubleshooting, and works with production supervisors to maintain safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include injection molding or thermoforming experience and strong leadership, with the ability to manage daily operations and document production activity. Overtime Fridays and a 3:30 PM–2:00 AM schedule are required.

Responsibilities

Production Team-Lead - 2nd Shift

Salary Range: $19.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Peninsula Plastics is looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced Production Team Lead to join our 2nd Shift manufacturing team!

We specialize in manufacturing high-quality, reusable plastic packaging solutions and are a leader in the thermoforming industry. We are seeking a hands‑on leader who can help guide our production team, support daily manufacturing operations, and maintain a safe, productive, and team‑oriented work environment.

As a Production Team Lead, you will oversee a small team of machine operators, assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting, and work alongside production supervisors to keep operations running smoothly throughout the shift.

Important Experience Requirement: Thermoforming experience is preferred; however, previous injection molding experience is required at a minimum.

Shift: 2nd Shift

Hours: 3:30 PM–2:00 AM, Monday–Thursday

Overtime: Mandatory overtime currently required on Fridays

Location: Auburn Hills and Pontiac, MI (facilities are approximately one mile apart)

Compensation:$19.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).

Ability to perform hands‑on manufacturing duties in a production environment.
