Job summary

Aurora Casket Company, a Matthews International subsidiary, is seeking an Assembly Operator / Machine Operator for our production facility in the Aurora, IN area. The role involves production and parts assembly of memorial products in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $22.90 hourly with full benefits, including medical, dental, FSA, disability, life insurance, paid vacation, 10 holidays and a 401(k). Training to cross-train across multiple production functions is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of previous assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

• Working with machinery, hand and power tools in a fast paced work environment.

• You will be working with production supervisors and operating various machinery to meet production needs.
• Determining parts to be manufactured based upon orders and stock.
• Observe and maintain machinery operation and identifying and defects or malfunctions.
• Multi-tasking and cross training in other departments and machines.
