Job summary

Equilibar in Fletcher, NC is seeking a motivated Production Assembly & Test Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, test, and inspect back pressure regulators, valves, subassemblies, and accessories to design specifications from the engineering team.

Working with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel, you will maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, record test data in our quality management system, and support continuous improvement initiatives to help us

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or production environments.
  • Experience assembling precision mechanical components using drawings and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and common hand tools.
  • Experience with mechanical testing, leak testing, or functional testing preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for entering production and testing data.
  • Experience working within a quality management system is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and inspect components before assembly to prevent contamination.
  • Assemble back pressure regulators, subassemblies, and accessories per drawings and instructions.
  • Perform functional and leak testing to verify quality and performance.
  • Record assembly information, inspection results, and test data in Equilibar’s online QMS.
  • Maintain assembly tools, test equipment, and tooling records.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Support polishing, cleaning, and other production activities as needed.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and other duties to meet production goals.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electronic and mechanical components to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications. Your hands-on expertise will contribute directly to the efficient production of high-quality products, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, precision measurement, and mechanical assembly.Equilibar is looking for a full-time Production Assembly & Test Technician for day shifts within the core hours of 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. The Assembly & Test Technician assembles, tests and documents back pressure regulators, valves, subassemblies, and accessories to design specifications from the engineering team. As a member of the Production team, the Assembly Technician works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to build high-quality products, resolve assembly or performance issues, and support continuous improvement efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, precision measurement, and mechanical assembly.
