Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Production Assembler I for our manufacturing facility in Oklahoma. The role involves assembling components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality while adhering to safety standards.

You will interpret blueprints, use precision tools, and perform inspections on your own work to meet design specifications. Candidates with basic reading/writing and math skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and willingness to work overtime are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and products using hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
  • Inspect own work to ensure conformance to design and customer specifications including appearance, packaging and function.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics and validate quality with measuring tools.
  • Follow written and verbal assembly instructions and manage production materials, rejects and scraps.
  • Participate in rotation, cross-training and continuous improvement activities including 5S and safety initiatives.

Job Overview

The Production Assembler I position encompasses responsibilities across multiple departments within the manufacturing facility. This role involves assembling components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality while adhering to safety and operational standards.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Wear required or appropriate PPE for specific work area.
  • Operate equipment safely following daily inspection.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area, supporting 6S Lean Culture.
  • Inspect own work to verify integrity and conformity of assembled products to design and customer specifications, including visual appearance, packaging details, and function.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for design specifications. Utilize appropriate measuring tools to validate quality.
  • Assemble parts and products, ensuring form, fit, and function, using hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions for assembly process.
  • Control production materials in work area and be accountable for rejects and scraps.
  • Adhere to work rules and attendance policies, including punctuality requirements and mandatory overtime.
  • Participate in rotation and cross training within department and inter-departments for flexible workforce.
  • Participate and/or lead autonomous maintenance (housekeeping and equipment visual inspections), 5S workplace organization, root cause analysis, quick changeover, and other initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
