Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking Assemblers for ongoing opportunities in Pullman/Moscow production facilities. You will assemble electronic components, operate basic machinery, and maintain quality while following safety rules.

Strong English communication and teamwork are essential as you learn SEL processes and contribute to a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. New hires start around $26/hour with swing shift differentials.

As an Assembler, a typical day might include the following:

• Following detailed work instructions to perform production duties such as assembly, operating machinery, packaging products, building products and soldering.
• Learning and following all safety policies.
• Developing positive and effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently
• Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
• Differentiate color
• Reach, bend, kneel, twist, grip, pinch
• Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place items with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours

Location

We are currently hiring direct into Pullman and Moscow. Most available positions are for swing shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). The swing shift position has a pay differential of $5.00 per hour.

We are also hiring for alternative shifts across multiple locations:

• Moscow: Third shift opportunities are available Sunday through Thursday, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with an additional shift differential of $10.00 per hour.
• Pullman: A weekend shift is available Friday through Monday, from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a differential of $10.00 per hour.

New hires generally start at $26 per hour. Our swing shift also offers a shift differential of $5 per hour on top of the $26 starting wage. We base our starting pay offer baselocation and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
