Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Production Assembler II to assemble and test complex units at floor stations, using hand and power tools. You will read blueprints, document tests, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Complete paperwork and shop travelers accurately.
• Follow internal procedures and policies.
• Follow verbal, written or diagram instructions.
• Perform basic math operations in all units of measurement.

Responsibilities

• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations.
• Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
• Work on precise and complicated assemblies; assist less experienced teammates.
• Assemble, inspect, document and test simple and complex assemblies.
• Operate production machines (riveter, welder, press) to fasten or form parts.
• Handle multiple tasks across workstations as needed.
• Provide operation and process training where appropriate.

Job Summary

• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.

• Able to perform multiple tasks at several workstations as production needs require.
• Provides some operation and process training.

• Ability to effectively read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to effectively understand and complete assigned paperwork and shop travelers.
• Ability to effectively understand internal procedures and policies.
• Ability to follow through on verbal, written or diagram instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
