Job summary

ODL is seeking a production assembler to mass-produce door lights, window lights, and related home-building products. The role involves line-based work, part assembly, and machine tending across multiple stations in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The position requires basic reading/writing skills, simple math, and adherence to standard procedures. You will operate equipment, inspect quality, and pack finished items for shipment as part of a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, labels, and production schedules.
• Ability to write simple sentences and complete forms/requests for information.
• Ability to apply common sense and carry out simple multi-step instructions.
• Actions and results are closely prescribed by work instructions/structure of work.
• Little or no opportunity to make independent decisions.
• Most actions regularly checked by others.
• Ability to read a tape measure and track production and scrap numbers.

Responsibilities

• Place parts in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Clip, screw, cement, or fasten parts using hands and tools (glue, screw guns).
• Tend machines (loading, off-loading, operating), such as glass washer and Motoman.
• Pack parts for shipment.
• Work at different work stations as production needs and rotation require.
• Work on line where tasks vary as different model moves along the line.
