Job summary

ODL in Zeeland, MI is seeking a dedicated Assembler Level II to perform daily operations including mold machine work, blinds assembly, insulated glass assembly, and final packaging of door glass. You will pull components and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least a few months of related experience, with the ability to read instructions and communicate in English to complete forms and requests.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; three or more months related experience and/or training.
• Language Skills: Read and comprehend simple instructions, labels and production schedules.
• Speak or write effectively in English and complete forms/requests for information.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety procedures are followed and PPE used daily.
• Follows standard work and processes to meet quality and cycle time standards.
• Assembles parts, tapes, adhesives, fasteners and tests components.
• Inspects parts to ensure quality and correct labeling.
• Packages parts according to packaging standards.
• Rotates and changes work centers as needed.
• Keeps work station clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Builds cartons, lids and packaging for stations.
• Assists with movement of materials into and out of the area.
• Performs rework and continuous improvement projects as requested.
