Job description

Production Assembler and Grinder

Location: Freeburg, IL

Pay: $21/hr

Hours: 6am-2:30pm, with overtime until 3:30pm and occasional Saturdays.

Position Overview

Candidates will be placed based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products.
2. Read and interpret blueprints and routing to produce parts to required specifications.
3. Transfer and label cardboard cartons, fold them, and insert products.
4. Hand tape small cardboard boxes, insert products, and transfer them onto pallets.
5. Maintain routine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
6. Follow all machine operation and safety rules.
7. Maintain reports on productivity, quality, and safety.
8. Assist supervisors and perform other duties as directed.
9. Operate equipment to buff and polish metal surfaces.
10. Stop machines upon discovering problems and make quick adjustments.
11. Inspect workpieces for quality control and remove defective pieces.
12. Use machinery to grind metal workpieces to specifications.
13. Finish products using hand tools for surface filing or finishing.
14. Inspect and perform basic maintenance on equipment, including lubrication and cleaning.
15. Perform basic repairs and replace worn or broken parts as needed.
