Job summary

Axillon Aerospace is seeking a skilled Production Assembler 4 - OBS to join our composite manufacturing team. The role acts as a technical specialist and performs complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations.

You will inspect own work, follow process specifications, assist with training, and uphold safety standards while handling parts, measurements, and power tools in a fast-paced production cell.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of OBS or similar manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Position Summary

The Production Assembler 4 acts as technical specialist and performs complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Acts as a technical specialist and performs complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company procedures


• Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing


• Applies process specifications governing the production of product within as assigned cell, records production time and quantity data at the cell as required


• Assists with training/development regarding tasks in other production cells


• Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures


• Selecting, measuring and aligning parts or subassemblies for production


• Operating power tools and manufacturing equipment to assemble components.


• Other responsibilities as asssigned

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operational job work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).


• Able to perform basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)


• Ability to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations

Environmental & Physical Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle hot tooling safely using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2+ years of experience in OBS or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred but not required (aerospace or automotive industry highly preferred).

Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
