Job summary

Marquee Staffing is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Worker / Laser Tech (Operator) in San Marcos, CA. The role pays $19.00–$20.00/hr with a $0.50 shift differential and is temp-to-hire, full-time.

You will operate CNC laser equipment, load parts, set offsets, perform edits, inspect parts and read drawings. Strong attention to detail and English communication are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Setup, offsets, changeovers, and simple program editing experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including: calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and understand shop math.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent visual inspection skills for small features/components.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • English communication skills required (written and verbal).
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing production environment.
  • Willingness to train on 1st shift if needed.
  • CNC Experience? Candidates with CNC milling experience (HAAS, Fadal, Mitsubishi, etc.) are encouraged to apply. Must be able to transfer machining skills to 2-axis laser machining centers using Aerotech controllers.

  • Read and interpret drawings/specifications.
  • Measure and mark dimensions.
  • Monitor machine performance and report issues.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Assist with equipment startup/shutdown once trained.

About the Role

3rd Shift Production Worker / Laser Tech (Operator) San Marcos, CA $19.00 - $20.00/hr + $0.50 Shift Differential Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time Important: Working documentation must be vetted and ready to work prior to interview. Schedule Monday @ Midnight through Saturday @ 8:30 AM Possible overtime available Shift flexibility is a plus Prompt and regular attendance is required


Parts Produced

Parts produced are typically: Small and fragile Electronics-based components Thin alumina ceramics Thin metals such as stainless steel, titanium, and copper Some plastics


Key Skills & Qualifications
