Parker Hannifin Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Production Assembler 2 (Blue Room) to perform medium electronic and electro-mechanical assembly and subassembly work on defense systems. The role requires reading blueprints, precision assembly, and adherence to ESD and safety practices.

Responsibilities include wiring, cable harnessing, PCB assembly, high voltage tasks, and using a range of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years related electronics assembly experience.
J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write basic correspondence in English.
Arithmetic skills for currency, weight, volume and distance.
Ability to follow instructions and work with standard procedures.
Strong cooperative teamwork and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Perform essential duties under general supervision with medium electronic and electromechanical assembly.
Follow ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques.
Read basic blueprints and work instructions.
Handle high voltage potting and testing.
Operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, multimeters and related tools.
Interact with Quality, Production Control and Engineering as needed.

Production Assembler 2 (Blue Room) - Defense System Division

Position Summary/Essential Functions

Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.

Responsibilities

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies.

Intermediate spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques
Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques
Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements
Intermediate fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing
Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions
High voltage potting and high voltage testing

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
The company must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply commonsense to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
This position may interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.

Pay Range: $23.45/hr to $32.75/hr
