Job summary

Tegra LLC is seeking a senior leader to head the Art department in Atlanta, overseeing a team of artists responsible for graphic art setups including screen printing, sublimation, and embroidery. You will develop strike off processes for bulk production and provide technical support on embellishment methods to resolve complex issues.

You will drive department goals, metrics and systems, and implement workflows to improve order processing efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of team apparel sales, manufacturing, screen printing, sublimation printing and transfer embellishment processes, sewing construction.
  • Munsell Test approved recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the team of artists responsible for graphic art setups (screen printing, sublimation, embroidery).
  • Develop and approve strike off processes for bulk production.
  • Provide technical support on embellishment methods.
  • Develop art department goals, metrics and systems.
  • Improve workflows to speed order processing and production.
  • Prepare art-related statistical reports for management.
  • Attend department head and staff meetings; monitor innovation.
  • Conduct yearly performance appraisals and set measurable goals.
  • Ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of art files.
  • Coordinate with customers and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Standardize materials and processes across facilities.
  • Maintain archive of digital resources by customer, program, season.
  • Recruit, hire and train team.
  • Support on production floor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Manages the team of artists responsible for creating graphic art setups. Types of art setups include screen-printing separations, sublimation art and color approval swatches, digitized embroidery files, twill and laser cut files.
  • Manage development and approval of strike off process in preparation for bulk production.
  • Provide technical support and guidance related to embellishment methods and processes when complex issues arise.
  • Assists in developing the Art department goals, metrics, objectives and systems.
  • Develop, test, and implement workflows that increase the efficiency and timeliness of order processing and production as a part of continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for preparing key art related statistical reports and other reports for management.
  • Participate in department head meetings, staff meetings and attends seminars, monitoring innovation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Conduct yearly performance appraisals. Set expectations to determine measurable goals for benchmarking and tracking performance.
  • Ensures accuracy and on time delivery of needed art files.
  • Able to communicate effectively and manage schedules to accommodate multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Standardized materials and processes across facilities.
  • Maintains archive of digital resources: Source and final art files organized by customer, program and season.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Uses advanced computer software including the Adobe CC Suite. (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of team apparel sales, manufacturing, screen printing, sublimation printing and transfer embellishment processes, sewing construction.
  • Munsell Test approved highly recommended
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple projects at a time and set priorities to hit deliverables on time.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build productive team.
  • Bilingual: English / Spanish a plus.
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Engineering
