Job summary

Vermeer Corporation is seeking a strong team leader to guide an assigned group in achieving safety, quality, fulfillment, cost, and inventory targets. You will supervise and mentor, drive lean improvements, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining cost controls.

The role requires manufacturing experience, strong communication, and a passion for developing others. Occasional travel is expected as part of meeting customer demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum one year manufacturing experience or minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Continuous improvement experience preferred. Understanding of lean principles.
• Passion for leading others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.
• Demonstrated understanding of performance metrics including safety, quality, fulfillment, cost and inventory.
• Ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of equipment and machinery operation.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement projects to improve cost, quality, and safety standards.
• Ensure safety and accountability of team members in assigned area. Ensure execution of countermeasures to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Scorecard requirements.
• Manage required documentation to meet Vermeer internal and external regulations.
• Encourage team member development and engagement. Create an environment for team members to learn and grow.

Job Summary

What You’ll Do
