Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Production Area Manager for the Chilton, Wisconsin facility to oversee all production activities in the designated area, driving safety, staffing, planning and continuous improvement. The role requires empowering hourly staff to achieve goals and collaborating with quality, scheduling, engineering and maintenance teams to deliver on commitments.

The ideal candidate will review orders, adjust schedules, manage payroll in absence of leadership, and lead talent

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of company policies and safety rules, able to enforce them in a fast-paced plant.
• Business and financial acumen to manage costs and productivity.
• Ability to multi-task and lead others to meet plant goals.
• Experience in continuous improvement and transformational practices.

Responsibilities

• Resolve day-to-day issues to meet production, safety, shipping and quality goals.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Adjust schedules to ensure order completion; hold team accountable for actions.
• Complete payroll in absence of Group Lead or Supervisor.
• Talent management including performance evaluations, merits, and goal setting.
• Identify training needs and coordinate cross-training opportunities.
