Shield AI is seeking a Production Engineering Technician to lead VBAT production training, continuous improvement, and production analytics on the VBAT line in Dallas. You will establish training readiness, skills matrices, and records while driving lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and costs.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, standardized metrics, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a technical support role, preferably in aerospace/defense/UAS or complex hardware manufacturing.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the VBAT production training program, including onboarding, role-based training, cross-training, recertification, ongoing skills development, and technician qualification records.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Build a data-driven operating model with standardized performance metrics, reporting cadences, and dashboards that enable timely decisions.
• Analyze production capacity, staffing, and improvement impact to support production ramp planning and sustained gains.
