Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead a single-function team and ensure daily targets are met within budget. You will coordinate resources, enforce policies, and maintain ISO standards while driving continuous improvement in a dynamic production environment.

The role requires strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to resolve bottlenecks, and the mentoring of staff to maintain high performance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Four to six years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of production processes and related tools/equipment.
  • Understanding of how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and profitability.
  • Coordinate diverse resources to meet production metrics.
  • ISO Standards and CI initiatives knowledge.
  • Effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Lead, manage and train diverse employees to high production levels under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job description

Provides leadership to employees performing routine work within a single function or work group.
Receives detailed assignments and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit.
Develops schedules and enforces policies and procedures.
Co-ordinates these inputs and a variety of resources (e.g., materials, personnel, equipment, etc.) to achieve on-time production of quality products within budget guidelines.
Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the production process.
Ensures all return to work interviews and first level disciplinary hearings are conducted in a timely, consistent and professional manner.

Requirements
  • Four to six years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit.
  • Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and Company Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Powerpoint.
