Job summary

OpenAI is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models in production for strategic customers. You will own discovery, scoping, system design, build, and production rollout while embedding with customer teams to ensure adoption and measurable impact.

Requires 5+ years in engineering or deployment, experience with production-grade Python/JavaScript, and a track record delivering complex systems in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work.
• Experience delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript with production-grade code.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models in production with customers.
• Own discovery, scoping, system design, build and production rollout.
• Embed with customer teams to understand needs and guide adoption of what you build.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early to protect delivery.
• Share field feedback to improve products and model roadmaps.
