Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking an AI Deployment Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support AI-enabled production software solutions.

You will partner with operations, engineering, quality, and IT to translate business needs into scalable systems, maintainable code, and governance-compliant deployments. The role requires 3+ years in software delivery, strong Python/TypeScript, and experience with APIs, cloud services, and automation.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive work experience in IT, automation, manufacturing tech, analytics, software delivery, AI enablement, or related field with hands-on production apps.
• Three to five years of hands-on software development experience shipping production code.
• Ability to read, write, debug, modify, and explain production-quality code.
• Strong development experience in Python and/or TypeScript including frontend, service tier, API, automation, scripting, and integration.
• Experience with disciplined SDLC practices: Git, PRs, code review, testing, deployment, documentation, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience with REST APIs or comparable integration interfaces.
• Working knowledge of application security, data protection, and secure development.
• Ability to assess AI-generated code for production readiness.
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience across cross-functional initiatives; multi-site/global environment preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, Azure-hosted apps, Databricks, plant automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support production apps and AI-enabled solutions using code, APIs, cloud services, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
• Serve as technical guide for business teams to build practical solutions with end users.
• Provide hands-on guidance during prototyping, testing, and deployment; ensure governance and security standards are met.
• Manage delivery from discovery through deployment and early-life support, including scope, timelines, risks, and handoff.
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following disciplined software engineering practices.
• Translate business needs into technical designs, prototypes, and scalable production applications.
• Build components across frontend, service tier, APIs, integrations, automation, and data layers as required.
• Diagnose defects, troubleshoot production issues, refactor, and harden solutions for enterprise use.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Establish reusable components, deployment patterns, and guardrails to scale across sites and functions.
• Partner with IT architecture, security, data, and application teams to meet enterprise standards.
• Support citizen developers moving solutions into governed production environments.
