Job summary

Nor-Am Cold Storage in Cherokee, IA is seeking a Production Associate to sort, weigh and package product on the line. You will operate scales, wrappers, labelers, case erectors and palletizers, and perform start and end of shift tasks including sweeping and cleaning.

This entry-level role offers a chance to advance by learning how to operate material handling equipment in a facility that stays very cold. Expect to stand for the full 8-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry level candidates are welcome.
• Experience in a food production environment is applicable.
• Our facility is cold; work in a wide range of temperatures from -10F to 80F.
• Must be able to walk or stand for the entire 8 hour shift and lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Our facility is cold. You must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures from -10F to 80F, the majority of your shift will be spent in a cooler environment (approximately 35F). You must be able to walk or stand for the entire 8 hour shift and to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds regularly.
