Ascend Staffing is seeking dependable, detail-oriented personnel for a fast-paced manufacturing role in Estherville, IA. You will operate production equipment, read blueprints, assemble parts to specs, and check finished work for quality.

Eligible candidates will use hand/power tools and precision measuring equipment, support multiple departments, and cross-train as needed. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this temp opportunity.

Job Summary

In this role, you will operate production equipment, assist with machine set-ups, read blueprints, assemble parts to specifications, and check finished work for quality. You will use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment while supporting a clean, organized manufacturing work area. The environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on safety, quality, and consistent production. A strong fit is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to cross train, and comfortable working with multiple departments to keep production moving. Candidates with controls, instrumentation, blueprint reading, and manufacturing quality knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Compensation: $20.50 per hour

Applied knowledge of controls and instrumentation

Good work history, job tenure, and regular, predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

Robotic experience preferred

Experience reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments

Experience setting stops or guides to specified sizes by scale, rule, or template

Experience positioning work pieces against stops or aligning layout marks with a die or blade

Experience operating machine controls and observing operation to detect defects or malfunctions

Experience measuring work piece dimensions to verify machine accuracy and product specifications

Experience performing minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces

Experience assisting with machine set-up and stacking, marking, or packing finished work pieces

Willingness to attend and contribute to team improvement meetings

Experience training and assisting new operators on machine set-up and operation

Experience supporting 5S standards for machines and work areas

Flexibility to perform other related duties as assigned
