Job summary

Beltways in Hebron, Kentucky is seeking a creative UX/UI Designer to help lead the Beltways OS and shape brand experiences across digital platforms. You will generate marketing renderings, prototype interfaces, and collaborate with engineering to define requirements and deliverables.

The ideal candidate combines leadership with strong visual design, mentorship ability, and a knack for building cohesive experiences across web and product pages while maintaining brand guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or similar
  • Strong visual design skills with portfolio showcasing typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
  • Motion design ability to create meaningful, memorable experiences
  • Excellent communication to explain design decisions and manage stakeholder input
  • Organizational skills for scalable file management and documentation
  • Ability to lead a team and mentor junior designers
  • Autonomy and initiative to start new tasks and drive projects

Responsibilities

  • Generate high quality 3D renderings for marketing
  • Research AI generation tools to improve design workflow
  • Improve internal tooling and productivity with AI and low-code solutions
  • Lead the development of the Beltways OS
  • Contribute to front end development for Beltways OS
  • Design and prototype user interfaces for the Beltways website
  • Maintain design consistency across digital platforms
  • Create hi-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Collaborate with engineering to define requirements and deliverables
  • Lead user research and usability testing and communicate findings to CoS
  • Maintain comprehensive brand guidelines
  • Assist with design-related tasks for Beltways website, marketing, and Beltways OS

What you'll do

  • Assistance in design-related task related to the Beltways website, marketing, Beltways OS
Minimum Qualifications
  • Reliably commute to the headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky
  • Education - Bachelors or Masters in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or similar
  • Visual Design Excellence - You are known for your visual design skills. Show us your eye for typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy through your portfolio
  • Motion Design - You can use motion to create a meaningful, memorable, and engaging experience
  • Communication Skills - Share your ability to clearly explain design decisions and translate complex concepts into ideas that are easy to understand, manage varying opinions from stakeholders
  • Organization - Demonstrate your thoughtful approach to scalable file management and design documentation
  • Creative Thinking - We value designers who create intuitive experiences that also inspire fellow designers
  • Design Tool Proficiency - Experience with Figma, design systems, and variable modes
  • Leadership - You have experience leading a team and can mentor junior designers

Nice to have
  • Project management - Experience with creating timelines, driving cross-functional coordination, balance craft with speed, track issues during builds, ensuring projects are completed on time
  • 3D Rendering - Experience rendering 3D models (Blender, Cinema 4D, KeyShot, or similar) and exporting assets for web use
  • HTML/CSS - Ability to read and make small edits to structure and styling, troubleshoot responsive layout issues, and work with design system components
  • Webflow - Comfortable building and maintaining pages in Webflow (CMS collections, components, responsive breakpoints, interactions, and publishing workflows)
  • Procreate - Ability to quickly sketch concepts, storyboard flows, or create lightweight illustrations/graphics for marketing and product pages
