Job summary

Denison Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced TIG welder to repair and salvage castings by welding defects, filling holes, and building sections as needed. You will operate a TIG welder, use basic hand tools, and maintain detailed records for specialized jobs.

The role requires reading and following written instructions and wearing appropriate safety equipment in a heat-intensive environment. This is a hands-on shop position with physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working around

Qualifications

• Must be a certified welder.
• Minimum 6 months welding experience.
• GTAW and TIG experience required; aluminum TIG preferred.
• Military/aerospace welding certification testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Weld defects in castings to meet quality and customer specifications.

Job description

Perform TIG welding operations to repair and/or salvage castings by identifying and removing defects, filling holes, building sections, welding cracks, etc.

Essential Functions

• Weld defects in castings to ensure product meets quality requirements and customer specifications
• Operate a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welder and basic hand tools
• Maintain appropriate documentation for specialized jobs
• Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Skills or Experience Required

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Vo-tech program in a related discipline is preferred.
• Must be a certified welder and have six (6) months of welding experience.
• Must complete military/aerospace welding certification testing.
• GTAW and TIG experience on aluminum preferred

Other Position Demands or Requirements

• Must be able to read, interpret and follow written work instructions and specifications.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.

Workings Conditions/Physical Demands

• Exposed to heat, fumes, dust and noise.
• Must be able to bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop and squat.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly handles flame and gas.
• Must wear protective safety equipment including welding hood, face shields, apron, leather gloves and long sleeve shirt (natural fibers).
