Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) seeks a Product Testing Manager to lead end-to-end testing and validation for next-generation mobile devices to secure critical carrier approvals before launch.

You will drive the Master Launch Checklist, align Product Management, Supply Chain, Packaging, and Sales to ensure on-time market entry, and run weekly carrier sessions to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
  • 6+ years with Bachelor's or 4+ with Master's in product testing, engineering, or program management in telecom
  • Experience in telecom wireless ecosystems (hardware, OS/software, app developers, carrier software) and consumer mobile products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end testing and validation for smart devices to secure carrier approvals (TA) ahead of launch.
  • Lead cross-functional orchestration to ensure on-time mobile device commercialization.

The Product Testing Manager will lead the end-to-end testing and validation of next-generation smart devices (smartphones, tablets, and wearables) to secure critical wireless carrier approvals ahead of launch. In this highly cross-functional role, you will champion launch readiness by authoring and driving the Master Launch Checklist, keeping product management, supply chain, packaging, and sales teams perfectly aligned for on-time market entry. As the primary technical and operational bridge, you will run weekly carrier alignment sessions to track testing schedules, proactively mitigate launch risks, and rapidly resolve complex technical issues. To excel, you should bring at least 4 to 6+ years of experience in product development, testing, or program management within the telecom sector, combined with a strong understanding of consumer mobile ecosystems. Ideally, you pair this launch expertise with deep technical acumen in modern wireless standards-including 5G NR, LTE, IMS, and eSIM-and a proven track record of navigating complex partnerships to bring consumer hardware smoothly from development to mass commercial release.

Position Objectives

  • Launch Readiness & Cross-Functional Orchestration: Author, maintain, and drive the Master Launch Checklist, aligning cross-functional teams-including Product Management, Supply Chain, Packaging, and Sales-to ensure seamless, on-time mobile device commercialization.
  • Carrier Alignment & Technical Triage: Lead weekly alignment meetings with wireless carriers to track testing schedules, proactively mitigate risks, and drive the rapid resolution of open technical issues.

Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Information Technology, Business Administration, Sales Operations management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Related work experience in Product Testing, Product Engineering, Business Planning, Product Development, or Consulting
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience within telecom sector and related wireless ecosystem (hardware, OS/software, app developers, service providers, carrier software,etc ).
  • Must have an understanding of consumer mobile products (smartphone, tablet, and/or wearables).
  • Demonstrated success in managing product launch testing and successfully meeting key deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Telecommunications Technical Acumen: Possess a deep technical understanding of modern wireless standards, network protocols, and mobile technologies, including 5G NR, LTE, VoLTE, VoNR, IMS, eSIM architectures, and TCP/IP.
  • Launch Program Management Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience driving hardware and software product launches, specifically bringing consumer electronics or smartphone devices from New Product Introduction (NPI) phases through mass production and commercial release.
  • Strategic Partner & Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage, influence, and navigate complex relationships with both internal cross-functional teams and key external partners
