Job summary

Ag Leader in Ames, IA is seeking a tester to collaborate with a team of testers to ensure desktop, mobile, and web software performance meets high standards. You will work with engineering to verify functionality, run regression tests, and contribute to quality before release.

You will design and execute manual and automated tests, document defects, and help improve product quality for farmers and their advisors worldwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture, Information Systems, Computer Science or similar field.
• Experience or willingness to learn scripting automated tests.
• Strong desire for continuous learning.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with or interest in farming practices in production agriculture.
• Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute software tests, manual and automated.
• Perform comprehensive testing to verify products meet customer expectations and provide a positive user experience.
• Report, document, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other teams to coordinate testing for software supporting hardware products.
• Provide input on additions or enhancements to product functionality.
• Identify testing initiatives for future team success.
• Be a product technical expert, assist in advanced troubleshooting.

After gaining an in-depth knowledge of our products, you will work closely with our engineering teams to verify the functionality and performance of software products prior to public release. From being a team tester to helping with release regression testing, your work will have a direct impact on the quality of our software products being used by farmers and their trusted advisors around the world.
