Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a Test Engineer to validate mechanical systems and agricultural equipment. You will develop plans, run tests, collect data, and translate findings into actionable improvements for performance, reliability, and durability.

You will work with simulations, collaborate with engineers, and help ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced farm-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required or preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in product validation or testing.
• Experience with test tools and analysis software is a plus.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to multitask.

Job description

We're seeking a Test Engineer. In this role, you'll help test components and complex systems on both existing and new agricultural equipment. You'll work closely with a collaborative engineering team to ensure our products meet performance, reliability, and durability standards, playing a key role in bringing innovative solutions to market.

Duties

• Develop validation plans for mechanical systems and components aligned with performance and reliability targets
• Execute test plans, gather and record data, and analyze results to provide actionable feedback
• Collaborate with engineering teams to correlate physical test data with simulation outputs (e.g., FEA, CFD)
• Coordinate field testing efforts and monitor progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Support continuous improvement of testing capabilities, methods, and instrumentation
• Specify and source test equipment, components, sensors, and tools
• Participate in design reviews and FMEA sessions to inform validation strategies
• Develop reliability predictions from test data to support product development
• Document testing procedures and results in compliance with ISO and ASABE standards
• Operate and become proficient in client-specific agricultural equipment
• Manage workload to meet deadlines, adapting to changing priorities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
• 1--3 years of experience in product validation, testing, or a closely related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through education, professional roles, or hands-on experience
• Familiarity with testing tools and analysis software (e.g., SolidWorks, HBM Somat eDAQ, etc.) is a plus
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple test projects simultaneously
