Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking a engineering professional for on-site opportunities in Huntersville, NC. You will design and develop customized fluidic system solutions for core markets, owning product lifecycle improvements and supporting cross-functional teams with technical consultations and problem solving.

The role requires a BS in engineering, experience in process/piping control systems, and familiarity with CAD/FEA tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in process/piping control system engineering with valve/instrumentation knowledge a plus.
• Sustaining engineering experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with highly regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) preferred.
• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software and FEA tools familiarity preferred.
• Electrical engineering and PLC programming experience is helpful.
• Experience in system or product development is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Lean production principles knowledge preferred.
• Experience with production process implementation/qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop customized fluidic system solutions based on customer requirements and Burkert portfolio.
• Own selected products' engineering lifecycle improvements for quality and performance.
• Maintain and improve production processes, identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide engineering expertise to internal and external stakeholders and customers.
• Create engineering documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, instructions, and master data in ERP.
• Prepare cost calculations for technical, quality and regulatory requirements and assist offers.
• Manage tasks and projects per procedures, including supervising partners and departments.
• Assist in verification and validation of production and assembly processes.
• Support Purchasing in vendor qualification and selection.
• Contribute to product quality through Burkert quality policies and corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering guidelines and processes.
