Job summary

Bürkert USA Corp is seeking an engineer to design and develop customized fluidic system solutions in core markets from its Huntersville, NC site. You will own selected products, improve them throughout their lifecycle, and help optimize production processes with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications include a BS in Engineering and experience with process control systems. Familiarity with regulated industries and SolidWorks/FEA tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical or equivalent
• Experience in process/piping control system engineering
• Sustaining engineering experience is a plus
• Familiarity with highly regulated industries (e.g. medical devices) is preferred
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and FEA/analyses software is preferred
• Electrical engineering and PLC programming experience is helpful

Responsibilities

• Design and development of customized fluidic system solutions based on customer requirements
• Technical ownership of selected products and lifecycle improvement
• Maintenance and development of production processes and equipment
• Engineering consultation with customers and crossfunctional teams
• Creation of CAD drawings, BOMs, and product master data in ERP
• Assistance in cost calculations respecting technical, quality and regulatory needs
• Hands-on supervision of system integration partners and subcontractors
• Assist in verification and validation of production and assembly processes
• Support Purchasing in vendor qualification and selection
• Contribute to quality policy with required tools and corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement of engineering guidelines and processes
