Prime Air is seeking an experienced Engineer within the Product Support Organization to drive deployment of hardware and software functionalities, investigate issues, and support a critical program across various disciplines. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, innovation within constrained design spaces, and excellent communication to build trust and align efforts across design and operations teams. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams to ensure efficient delivery and solve complex problems with straightforward solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer focus, problem-solving skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to translate lessons learned into requirement updates. You will work hard, have fun, and make history!

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive the delivery of critical engineering feedback and design improvements for Prime Air drones and support systems across teams through requirement tracking, design, development, and testing.
2. Own and manage triage of field issues.
3. Collaborate with quality and design engineering teams to close feedback loops.
4. Engage with customer teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.
5. Work with other engineers to develop innovative solutions within fixed design constraints.

Additional Information

This position may require an export control license to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to secure this license on your behalf.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of systems development experience.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Proficiency in programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Experience with quality systems, change management, and technology deployment.
• Experience in designing or redesigning integrated systems.
