Job Title: Mobile App Support Engineer (Onsite in Seattle)

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Pay Rate: Starting at $38/hour

Type: Long-Term Contract (11 months to start, with potential to extend up to 24 months)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Support Engineer to manage the manual release and support process for mobile shopping applications. This role focuses on executing and troubleshooting weekly beta releases for Android and iOS platforms, ensuring quality and stability prior to production launches.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with development teams to test and sign off on beta releases.
• Create and manage detailed release plans.
• Draft and distribute email updates to engineering teams.
• Perform QA testing (approximately 50% manual, 50% automated).
• Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues and investigate failed tests.
• Escalate mobile app crashes and user-reported issues.
• Maintain internal documentation, including SOP updates and newsletters.
• Route incoming tickets and issues from beta users.
• Ensure quality of each mobile beta release across platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of developer support or QA experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with bug tracking systems and Linux environments is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug technical issues.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Swift, Objective-C, or Python.
• Background in mobile app development or support.

Work Rhythm:

• Handle 2–3 beta releases per week (Android + iOS).
• Respond to automated test failures and pipeline issues.
• Monitor and escalate crash reports.
• Support internal documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Triage tickets from beta testers.
