Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide world-class product support for Semiconductor Test products. The role focuses on immediate field issues and end-to-end serviceability to ensure high uptime and customer satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with field and engineering (SW/HW), and drive root-cause investigations. This position reports to the Semiconductor Test PSG Manager and requires up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a senior engineering or product support role.

• Detailed understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Represent PSG as a core team member on existing and new products.
• Lead field issues and escalations with field team and engineering (SW and HW) in field and factory.
• Identify root causes to increase system uptime.
• Participate in new product integration meetings and design reviews for serviceability (DFS).
• Lead installation and serviceability discussions during design reviews.
• Support system install requirements and coordinate with install team on tools and resources.
• Develop a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy.
• Organize, schedule and manage field upgrades.
• Manage training for Teradyne field service engineers.
• Monitor system and new product reliability; generate reliability reports from field data.
• Travel up to 20% of time.

Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Senior Engineer to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Semiconductor Test Products.

This role is enabled by an in-depth knowledge of Teradyne's product offerings coupled with a desire to provide timely solutions across an evolving customer Landscape. The Product Support Engineer role is a dynamic global support opportunity that spans an array of engineering

This individual will report directly to the Semiconductor Test Product Support Engineering Manager .

• Represent PSG as a core team member on both existing and new products
• Work with the field team and engineering (SW and HW) as a lead on field issues and escalations i n both the field and factory
• Assist with identifying root cause to increase system up time

Work as part of the new product integration team by:

• Participating in new product team meetings
• Working with design engineering to design in serviceability (DFS)
• Lead installation and serviceability discussions as part of design reviews

Support system install requirements and work with install coordinator on required tools, resources, etc.

• Travel expectations are less than 20% of work requirements

• Degree Required; Bachelors of Science in Engineering (MFG, EE, ME, etc)
• 10+ years of experience
• Ability to lead a high priority new product from a product support standpoint and provide mentorship to other engineers on the team
• Critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Detailed understanding of mechanical design drawings and/or electrical schematics
• Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and "hands-on"
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision and with cross-functional teams
• Ability to create detailed documentation

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is$121,100 to 193,800.This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
