Job summary

TAT Technologies’ Greensboro site serves as the Center of Excellence for Auxiliary Power Unit and landing gear MRO services, offering repair and asset management solutions for global operators.

The Product Support Engineer will assist the Director of Engineering in developing repair schemes, CAD data, and processes for FAA-DER approval, coordinating with the shop and vendors to implement improvements with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks and CAD data for repair development.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication and ability to work independently.

TAT Technologies' Greensboro site serves as the company's Center of Excellence for Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and landing gear MRO services, as well as aircraft component leasing solutions. Supporting commercial and military aircraft operators worldwide, the site provides integrated maintenance and asset management solutions that maximize fleet availability, reduce downtime, and improve operational performance.

TAT Technologies is looking for a Product Support Engineer. Our comprehensive service and support works to ensure that we can meet the needs and demands of our customers. The function of this position is to assist the Director of Engineering in the development and implementation of repair schemes and processes using reverse engineered data for customer and FAA-DER approval. The following is a list of job duties that the Product Support Engineer will perform:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing technical support to shop with part/component overhaul.
• Designing and developing repair schemes and repair processes for customer and FAA-DER approval.
• Development and implementation of CAD data to support repair development.
• Coordinating with the machine shop for prototype development.
• Coordinating incorporation of newly designed repairs into shop procedures (travelers).
• Coordinating with current vendors to support repair development.
• Coordinating with machine shop, quality and purchasing on inducting new part/component orders.
• Preparing and maintaining part/component travelers, process flow charts and reports.

• BS, Mechanical Engineering a must.
• Strong understanding of materials, engineering principles, production methods, and quality standards.
• Working Knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis, and design for manufacturability.
• Understands use of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical skills and project management skills.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills, including technical writing ability.
• Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
