Job description

The Product Strategy – Practice Management/Revenue Cycle Management role is an organizational leadership position. Reporting to the SVP of Product Management, the Product Strategy – PM/RCM leader will manage a team of product management professionals to execute on the development and tactical activities of building, releasing, and maintaining CareCloud’s product. This key role is strategic, not tactical and other organizations will support the strategic efforts, however this role will not be supporting their tactical tasks.

The Product Strategy – PM/RCM role will establish and drive CareCloud’s product strategy and vision, to ensure successful execution. This role will be responsible for managing the resources necessary to deliver world-class products that set CareCloud apart from its competitors because of their quality, reliability, effectiveness, innovation and strong focus on client satisfaction. The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically and execute methodically, and will proactively identify and resolve issues that threaten the organization’s ability to meet product development goals. This is a staff management role, and as such this position will lead a team of product managers, providing guidance and direction to achieve CareCloud’s vision in its existing and emerging markets.

As an individual contributor the Product Strategy – PM/RCM role will be focused on the market; understanding the needs, competitive offerings, and successful market drivers. Using these insights, this role will direct the evolution of existing products as well as work to expand the product-line with new products. Executing in this role requires a unique blend of business acumen and technical savvy, and the ability to create the big picture vision to drive CareCloud’ design plan. The successful individual must also enjoy spending time with our clients to understand their problems and find innovative solutions that will meet their needs and the needs of the broader market. This position will be measured by the growth of a products market, wallet share and by its margin. Communication is a key strength and focus for this role.

KEY ABILITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Ability to immediately dive deep to gain an understanding of CareCloud product, our business, and competitive landscape
  • Through intellectual thought leadership of the Product Management function, drive with rigor product development processes, in a results oriented partnership model
  • Work closely and effectively with business groups (engineering, sales, marketing, and other internal teams) to deliver world-class products for CareCloud
  • Show continuous improvement by redefining and managing the product roadmap, setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team
  • Write market, functional and system requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business and development teams
  • Demonstrate ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases and show ability to clearly communicate insights within PM teams and the business
  • Work with other business partners to perform deep data driven analysis of businesses, to flush actionable insights and product requirements
  • Work with the engineering team to define product release requirements and plans, and work with the engineering team to define product release requirements as well as release market plans
  • Drive the implementation of recommendations derived from analysis into product features
  • Perform primary and secondary market research in support of CareCloud products and deliver this knowledge to the business, affecting future strategy design
  • Monitor CareCloud’s primary market and the overall industry, to provide guidance on strategy recalibration as needed to maintain product competitive positioning throughout the product lifecycle
  • Guide all teams involved with product development, and facilitate necessary interactions between (primarily between Product and Engineering) that result in successful product delivery
  • Participate in product-marketing efforts to strategically launch CareCloud products
  • Supporting Sales and Operations in the delivery of the product to the market place
  • Display a high attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Show an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet objectives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
  • Wire-framing user requirements are required
  • Soliciting and harmonizing feedback from all internal and external stakeholders
  • Constructing epics and stories within JIRA that can be planned and executed by engineering
  • Managing/communicating the product development project milestones to the all stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years’ experience in related positions with increasing responsibility, with a significant amount of this time in Healthcare “operations side” technology
  • Strong domain knowledge of Healthcare IT, Practice Management, RCM and the EHR markets
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Be able to capture and communicate user requirements by building wireframes and stories.
  • Be able to conduct primary and secondary market research
  • Be able to communicate and work directly with customer
  • Knowledge and experience with agile process is desirable
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or relevant work experiences a strong plus.
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (25%).
  • This position is based at CareCloud, and is required to work from the Miami or Boston office
  • Experience in and strong familiarity with, appointments, billing, and collections workflow in ambulatory or urgent care settings. Hands-on administrative experience in a practice preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare back office operations and MBA or similar credentials strongly preferred
