Job summary

Amtrak in Washington, DC invites applicants for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Product Strategy and Operations Intern role. You will support Product Management and Experience Design with analytical, operational, and strategic tasks across portfolios to enable better decisions and higher-value outcomes.

The role requires a highly analytical, hands-on, detail-oriented approach, with strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to translate data into insights.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
• Must be actively pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields.
• Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis as a power user in Excel,Microsoft suite, and leverage AI tooling where appropriate
• Support cross-organization partnership to ensure alignment and meeting commitments
• Support development of product competencies, frameworks, and learning resources
• Maintains core product assets (templates, playbooks, tools, and sites) to ensure consistency, clarity, and improve product planning, discovery, and delivery
• Manage and maintain best ‑ practice tooling usage
