Product Stewardship Compliance Specialist, Americas

Role Overview

The Product Stewardship Compliance Specialist, Americas, provides regulatory expertise and guidance for Syensqo’s Technology Solutions business product lines and other units in North America. This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance and product stewardship support across the region, including TSCA and Canadian regulations. The position reports directly to the Product Stewardship Compliance Manager, Americas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with business areas, regulatory agencies, and consultants to ensure compliance with regulations such as TSCA, CEPA, FIFRA, and food contact regulations.
  2. Provide product stewardship support, inform technical teams, and develop alternative strategies when necessary.
  3. Assess regulatory changes and their impact on the business.
  4. Respond to customer inquiries and internal requests regarding product safety and regulatory information.
  5. Review and approve import/export of samples and commercial materials for Consumer and Resources businesses.
  6. Classify products for export and trade control regulations.
  7. Implement and monitor product safety and stewardship systems and practices.
  8. Develop expertise in TSCA and other chemical regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the chemical industry, with 1-3 years in regulatory affairs preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of TSCA and ability to apply it effectively.
  • Experience with SAP EH&S is a plus.
