Job summary

MSX International is seeking a Product Operations Specialist to support quality, operation, and continuous improvement of software products and client applications. You’ll work with Product Owner, Development, and QA to ensure work is documented, tested, organized, and delivered effectively.

The role offers early-career exposure to product operations, quality assurance, business analysis, and product management in the automotive software space, with opportunities to grow into a Product Owner

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS/CIS, or Business Analytics.
• 1–3 years in software support.
• QA, testing, product operations, business analysis, or similar role.
• Familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps, Agile practices, issue documentation, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• SaaS experience including test case development and regression testing.
• 1–3 years automotive experience with OEMs or large dealer groups preferred.
• Desire to grow into a Product Owner role.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Backlog management support with readiness and context.
• Prepare work items with acceptance criteria, dependencies, and documentation.
• Identify incomplete, outdated, duplicate, or unclear work items for review.
• Track decisions and actions from Agile discussions and product meetings.
• Provide organized lists of defects and testing information for prioritization.
• Perform manual testing of enhancements, defects, and config changes.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
• Document defects and testing outcomes; reproduce issues with investigation details.
• Contribute to regression testing and release validation activities.
• Translate validated issues into well-documented work items for Product Owner review.
• Identify recurring trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and QA teams to support delivery momentum.

What We Are Looking For:

MSX International is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and analytical Product Operations Specialist to support the quality, operation, and continuous improvement of software products and client applications. Working closely with the Product Owner, Development, and QA, this role helps ensure product work is documented, tested, organized, and delivered effectively. The Product Operations Specialist serves as a key operational and quality support partner to the Product Owner. The role prepares, organizes, investigates, documents, and validates product work to help the Product Owner make informed decisions and maintain delivery momentum. While the Product Owner retains responsibility for product strategy, prioritization, requirements decisions, and stakeholder alignment, this role provides the analysis, documentation, testing, and coordination support necessary to enable those responsibilities. This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in developing expertise in product operations, quality assurance, business analysis, and product management.

The Product Specialist key tasks are:

• Support Product Owner backlog management and readiness.
• Prepare work items with business context, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and supporting documentation.
• Identify incomplete, outdated, duplicate, or unclear work items for review.
• Track decisions and action items from Agile platform discussions and product meetings.
• Provide organized lists of defects, testing, and support information to assist prioritization discussions.

Manual Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform manual testing of enhancements, defect fixes, and configuration changes.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Document defects, risks, and testing outcomes.
• Reproduce issues and provide investigation details to Development and QA teams.
• Participate in regression testing and release validation activities.
• Investigate reported product issues and determine resolution paths.
• Differentiate between user questions, configuration issues, data issues, and software defects.
• Translate validated support issues into well-documented work items for Product Owner review.
• Identify recurring trends and improvement opportunities.
• Partners with Product, Development, and QA.
• Contribute operational insights from support requests, testing results, and defect trends.
• Support process improvement, release readiness, documentation, and product operations activities.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• ​Bachelor’s degree: Computer science, MIS/CIS or Business Analytics
• 1-3 years in software support
• QA, testing, product operations, business analysis, or similar role
• Familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps, Agile practices, issue documentation, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
• SaaS experience, test case development, defect investigation, user stories, acceptance criteria, regression testing, and basic SQL/data analysis.
• 1-3 Years Automotive Experience with OEMs or Large dealer groups preferred
