HVACEXEC.com Recruiters’ client seeks an Engineering/Product Support Specialist to lead engineering reviews and design necessary HVAC, refrigeration, and controls solutions for supermarket, grocery, and C-store projects in Columbus area.

The role reports to the VP of Engineering and the President, coordinating with field teams and third-party engineers to deliver submittals, pricing, and best-fit system solutions. Travel required as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and controls required.
• Experience in grocery and supermarket systems is desirable.
• Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally is critical.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, management, or related area desired but experience level may supersede.
• 5+ years' experience in relevant industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and support engineering reviews to align to client expectations.
• Design, select, and promote all aspects of the engineering requirements to support the HVAC, Refrigeration, and Controls systems provided by the company.
• Create all required submittal documents to support project specifics.
• Complete project specific sections and pricing.
• Work closely with 3rd party engineers to create best solutions for our clients.
• Provide direction to Field Teams as required.
• Work with all members of the team with a positive attitude.

Engineering/Product Support Specialist sought for Supermarket, Grocery, C-Store and Commercial Building Mechanical Systems Provider

Our client is the preferred partner for success in supermarket, grocery, and C-store mechanical systems including HVAC, controls, and refrigeration. They specialize in the design, construction, operations, and retrofit of these types of retail food stores to eliminate shopper discomfort, high humidity, unwanted condensation, and energy waste. Supermarket mechanical system professionals know that it is nearly impossible to get comfort and dehumidification working well when the store is closed and open refrigeration cases are not operating in complete concert with HVAC and controls.

SUMMARY

This position reports to the VP of Engineering and the President. The right candidate will be located near Colombus OH Corporate HQ so they can work closely with all groups across the business assisting and leading the development of engineering projects to support all projects and clients. In addition, this position will be the team leader for the product support team.
