Job summary

SEL is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead product security programs overseeing the software supply chain and automated security testing. You’ll define and govern processes for component selection, secure provenance, SBOMs, licenses, and risk management, while partnering with Secure SDLC Automation, DevTools, and product teams.

You will manage a team of security-minded engineers, drive best practices for languages and QA, and ensure compliance with evolving standards, including

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years software product development across the full Secure SDLC, including Embedded, Cloud-native, or Web.
• 3+ years of technical leadership in software development.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages.
• Experience with software supply chain practices and tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (10%)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve product security programs related to the SEL software supply chain and relevant standards and regulations (such as 62443-4-1 and the Cyber Resilience Act)
• Oversee the definition, deployment, and outcomes for automated security QA processes and tools
• Maintain awareness of developing trends, technologies, and threats related to the secure SDLC
• Supervise, lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers
• Represent SEL at software industry conferences as needed
• Model, teach, and apply SEL values and the Principles of Operations
