Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a security-focused Platform Security Engineer to own the user-facing application and experience layers. You will partner with Product and Engineering to set the security assurance bar and drive secure-by-default patterns across front-end frameworks, runtimes, and data-access surfaces.

Ideal candidates have hands-on web/application security expertise, threat modelling experience, and the ability to influence developers while reviewing JavaScript/TypeScript and Java.

Qualifications

• Experience in web and UI security across frameworks and runtimes.
• Ability to perform threat modeling and security design reviews.
• Experience reviewing JavaScript/TypeScript and Java code for security.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assurance for the experience and UI layer across web and UI frameworks.
• Act as the standing security lead for multi-quarter, multi-team programs such as guest-user data access expansion.
• Push secure patterns into frameworks and SDKs while defining security standards.
• Own AI and agentic risk, design gates for high-risk actions, and define least-privilege controls for integrations.
