Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Digital Product Security Engineer to integrate product security into our medical devices, software, and digital solutions. You will collaborate with product teams and R&D to identify and remediate security gaps while supporting regulatory documentation and security testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read/write/understand English fluently.
• Basic knowledge in cybersecurity, software engineering, product development.

Responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships with product teams.
• Implement security controls/methods for software, apps, systems, and digital solutions.
• Develop and track cybersecurity bill of materials (CBOM).
• Support product security risk assessments, requirements analysis and test methods.
• Execute product security testing including test planning, cases, and procedures.
• Perform vulnerability assessment and software scanning (Static/Dynamic).
• Identify vulnerabilities and collaborate with R&D for remediation and planning.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, proofs of concept, and tech evaluations.
• Participate in security research activities for next-gen products.
• Support product security compliance/regulatory documentation as needed.
• Participate in improvement projects related to security processes, tech, and tools.
• Support API and cloud security designs and solutions.
